    Prevention of Animal Cruelty

    Pet Abuse


    In my eyes any form of     animal cruelty is a crime which includes pet abuse. As humans, prevention of animal cruelty should be an inborn instinct and that's why I've decided to raise this important issue.

    However, it greatly disappoints me to see and know that most people do not share such feelings of  sympathy, care, warmth or concern towards animals. These 'animals' may include cats, dogs, horses, donkeys or any animal in the zoo for that matter. There have been innumerable cases of dog cruelty in Western countries and many of Muslim countries. People beat up the poor innocent animals. This fact truly perplexes me and i fail to understand why we have to be so hostile towards these creatures. It disappoints me to see that apart from some of the citizens of my country, most people view these animals only as a means of entertainment. Some even go to the extent of demonstrating their hatred towards these poor animals.

    In Human development Report Pakistan is placed at 136th position for having just 49.9% educated populace. Some of the very basic flaws of the education system in Pakistan are:

    Firstly, the education system of Pakistan is based on unequal lines. Medium of education is different in both, public and private sector. This create a sort of disparity among people, dividing them into two segments. Such a distraught infrastructure is a basic cause of high illiteracy rate in Pakistan.

    If we look at the history of Pakistani politics it has always been dominated by few families and dictators. Common man has suffered at the hands of aristocrats, and among those common men live the young men and women, who are spoken highly of! The history tells us that political parties have always used the the youth to achieve their political targets but looking at the bigger picture, the role of youth in Pakistani politics has always been limited. Never has the true democracy be at the helm thanks to corrupt and substandard political infra-structure. Men with money, or shall we say, the big players have always dominated the political playground.

It's a platform where you can express your feelings and share your views with the world. It's a virtual place which is the biggest source of entertainment in the world. Social media has become a mean of transparency in today's world.

He is Imran Khan, a former captain of Pakistan's cricket team, who shot to glory after Pakistan won cricket's World Cup in 1992.

    DcD - The Band

    Decimated Dreams a.k.a DcD is a rising Pakistani Rock band. The band consists of uprising music prodigees of Lahore. DcD's music is heavily influenced by Pink Floyd, Metallica, Aerosmith, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, System Of A Down, Deep Purple, Guns 'N Roses, Scorpions, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Entity Paradigm, Junoon and Mauj. Since the formation of the band, it has quickly rose to fame in a short period.



    DcD aims to climb through the ranks, step by step and establish themselves as one of the top rock bands in Pakistani Music Industry.
